The DTT facility site is inside the ENEA Research Center in Frascati, where the headquarters of the DTT S.c. a r.l. Consortium are also located.
The ENEA Research Center in Frascati is one of the major national and international research centres, with significant activities and infrastructures in the fields of nuclear fusion, laser sources and particle accelerators. In 2018, it was chosen to host the DTT facility by a public evidence selection procedure among 9 sites proposed by as many Italian regions.
The Center is located about 2 km from Frascati, on the hillside south east of Rome, in a research area that includes many other important public research institutes (INFN, CNR, ESA, ASI, INAF, INAIL) as well as the University "Tor Vergata". The Center is also an important hub for technology transfer, in particular as for nuclear fusion, and act as a liaison with industry to increase the competitiveness of the Italian economic system in a framework of sustainable development.
